So hopefully by now you have received your pre-ordered copy of Random Spirit Lover in the mail and have been listening to it non stop. In other news, Handsome Furs have been on tour in Europe for the past week. UK fans posted recently to the forum that the band were denied entry into the UK due to visa problems and thus had to cancel their London show. The band were apparently granted entry into Amsterdam as their set at the famous Paradiso was recorded. You can watch their entire set at www.fabchannel.com. Sunset Rubdown kick off their tour in support of their soon to be released second album tonight at Theatre Nationale in Montreal. They are playing a headlining set as part of the Pop Montreal Music Festival. The lovely folks over at CBC Radio 3 have chosen to broadcast tonight’s show on their sirius channel live! The show will also feature sets from Black Mountain, Oakley Hall, and Lightning Dust. The set times are as follows:
24:00 Black Mountain
23:00 Sunset Rubdown
22:00 Oakley Hall
21:00 Lightning Dust
So if you have Sirus, tune into SIRIUS 94 at 9 pm eastern time/ 6pm pacific for the live simulcast.

Even though the new Sunset Rubdown album ‘Random Spirit Lover’ doesn’t come out for another week, it appears that people are already finding it in stores. Above is the very interesting back cover picture. Also included in the cd packaging is a booklet with lyrics to all the songs. Check the forum for the full lyrics. ‘Random Spirit Lover’ will be officially released on October 9th. Thanks to Adam Kamin for the info and pictures!
