It’s official, we now have all the album art for Wolf Parade’s soon to be released record At Mount Zoomer. As previously posted, the artwork for the record was to be a collaboration between artists Elizabeth Huey and Matt Moroz. The nice folks over at Anthem Magazine were given an exclusive look at all the artwork for the record, including a collectible fold out poster. Go here to see the artwork. While in London last week, Sunset Rubdown did in fact record a song for the Black Cab Sessions. Spencer, Camilla, and Jordan performed a brand new song called “You Go On Ahead”. Spencer states this song is similar in theme and lyric to “Trumpet, Trumpet, Toot! Toot!” which is off their latest record ‘Random Spirit Lover’. Check out the session at: www.blackcabsessions.com. Last week Sunset Rubdown played the first night of the Explosion in the Sky curated All Tomorrow’s Parties in Minehead, England. You can see some pictures of their set at strangeglue.com. Sunset Rubdown also played Manchester, England recently and you can see some great live videos courtesy of forum member AUV. The band are currently on tour in Europe and will be playing several festivals in the next week. For a list of all dates go to their tour section.
Handsome Furs are set to play this years Wolfe Island Music Festival. The duo will play on Friday August 8th at 10pm as part of the Flying V Productions showcase at The General Wolfe Hotel. Tickets can be purchased through MapleMusic.com. Wolf Parade played the Wolfe Island Music Fest last year and it was the first show where they debuted most of the songs now on their soon to be released new record.
Speaking of the new record, you can now hear another track from ‘At Mount Zoomer’ called ‘Language City’ on Wolf Parade’s myspace page. The new record is out June 17th. Pre order now!
