Just a quick post to congratulate Sunset Rubdown on reaching #1 on the Canadian Music Charts for the second week in a row!!
Upstart label Jagjaguwar continue to hold down the top two spots as Sunset Rubdown’s Dragonslayer remains at #1 followed by Dinosaur Jr.’s Farm at #2.

Handsome Furs would probably tour for the rest of their lives if they could. If you’ve had a chance to see them, you know that their live shows are incredibly intense and full of raw energy. Well the band have allowed us a little glimpse into their touring lives by sending us pictures from the road. You can see the first batch of tour photos at the newly created Handsome Furs- Tour Diary page. Hopefully they’ll send us more as they make their way around the world. Thank you so much to Blaine Kaplan for making this all possible!!!
We are starting a new feature called ‘Ask Dan’. Dan has agreed to sit down every now and again and answer questions from the folks over at the forum. Best thing I Did This Year
Spencer: Hung out in Mexico for three weeks with my 2-year-old nephew. He called me “Uncle Panther” the whole time– a good name. I watched him slowly get over his fear of water and then splash around in the waves giggling– classic stuff. And he loves music, so I showed him the new Sunset Rubdown record. He was the first in my family to hear it. More importantly, it was the first time he’d ever worn headphones, and the look on his face was what I imagine mine would be if I got that call from Wes Anderson. Can anyone remember the first time they heard music on headphones? It must have been so trippy.
Camilla: Go to Mexico for the first time. I saw lizards.
Michael: Winning the 2008 World Telekinesis Championship with the Discriminating Gentlemen’s Club.
