Handsome Furs Love Asia

In September Handsome Furs embarked on their first tour of Asia. They played 5 countries in 8 days and documented their entire trip in video and photos. The band have graciously shared with us photos from each city they played.

The videos they took are part of a new series of ‘mini-documentaries’ on CNN.com:

CNN.com will also feature a series, “The Handsome Furs Tour Asia.” Armed with two Flip cams, this indie rock duo husband and wife team of Dan Boeckner and Alexei Cox Perry documented their Asian tour first hand as they visited China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand. The Asian tour featured in the series is in support of their second record, Face Control, which got an 8 out of 10 from indie tastemakers, Pitchfork.com and other critical acclaim. These self-described travel nerds share the fun, excitement and drama of visiting new places, meeting new people and testing new foods. Boeckner is also a member of indie rock break out band Wolf Parade.

No word yet as to when the videos will surface, but we promise to post here as soon as they do. As always we thank Dan and Alexei for everything. Handsome Furs are currently on tour, forever.

live from Mount Zoomer

I was just sent these two videos of Treasure Hunt performing at the Mount Zoomer studio in Montreal. We’ve been told that Treasure Hunt was basically a short lived project and that they may record something eventually to document the band’s existence. Things are on hold as everyone in the band is going to be too busy with their respective projects over the next several months. We will of course post here when we have any more news.

Sorry for the delay in news folks, i’ve been traveling for a month and finally have a real computer to use. I have a few videos to post and share. The first one is the brand new Sunset Rubdown video for ‘Black Swan’. This is their first ever “music video”.
