Once again the lovely Alexei has shared with us her photos from life on the road with Handsome Furs. This new batch of photos finds the duo in Australia and New Zealand.
We were also sent pictures from their quick stop in Las Vegas, Nevada. I just uploaded new pictures from their travels through Europe which includes their trip to Transylvania. To see all the photos from their 2009 world dominating tour, check the tour diary page. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly giving Alexei and Dan are, I thank you both for an amazing year.
If you want to see Handsome Furs just one last time, they are playing their final show of the year at Lee’s Place in Toronto on December 5th.
As if he wasn’t busy enough, it appears that in between releasing Enemy Mine and Dragonslayer and touring all over the world, Spencer was also working on a marimba and drum project. The result is the ‘Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit Drums’ and will be released January 26th on Jagjaguwar. From the press release:
This is physically available only in the vinyl format (approximately 20 minutes of music on a
single side of a 12-inch record). It is also available in digital formats. The vinyl edition and some
digital editions will be accompanied with a dream journal, on which the music is based.
A dream journal sounds very interesting. Check back here for more news on this release.
