Dreamland

Just got word from Jagjaguwar that you can now download a high-quality digital version (FLAC or MP3) of Moonface’s Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums.. A new website has been created at Moonface.ca where you can make a donation and instantly download the EP. The website includes a dreams section, where “Moonface” has posted selected dreams from January—April 2009. If you want to share your dreams with Moonface, you can post them in the dream forum.

You can now pre-order the 12″ vinyl directly from SC Distribution/Jagjaguwar here. With the 12″ you will receive an insert with all the dreams printed out.

New Jersey

If by any chance you missed seeing Handsome Furs at one of their 300 shows this year, you may finally get your chance. Handsome Furs have announced a small show on January 20th at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale today at noon through ticketweb. See you there!

Handsome Furs debuted a new song last week in Toronto. It’s tentatively titled “No Feeling”.

It’s all happening

When we got the news about the next Wolf Parade record a few weeks ago we had no idea there would be actual tour dates to report of so soon. Well I guess UK promoters want to get the party started. The first known Wolf Parade tour date to promote their third record will be May 18, 2010 at the HMV Forum in London. Tickets go on sale through ticketmaster beginning Monday December 14th at 9 am GMT. Thanks to all the kids in the forum for the heads up. We promise to post more tour dates as soon as we know them.

It’s Official

After receiving an onslaught of emails yesterday due to a mis-named post about another Wolf named band, I decided to get a status update on what Wolf Parade were actually up to. From Arlen:

The record is going well. We’re just starting songwriting. We’ll be in the studio tracking at Hotel2Tango at the end of February and are trying to have the record finished by early spring.

Can’t wait! We will of course post here as soon as we have more info on the new record and any upcoming tour dates. Thanks again Arlen!!
