Happy release to Cry Cry Cry! For those of you that ordered from WolfParade.com you likely haven’t received your physical order yet. I heard directly from the Cardboard Box Project and they said unfortunately there was a delay with the signed vinyl portion of the pre-sale. They finally received the signed sleeves yesterday and have started processing orders. All orders that haven’t already been shipped will go out this week. Hope that helps!
Wolf Parade took part in a Reddit/AMA the other day. Read through their responses here.
Check the guys out on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday October 11th! Set your DVR’s!

The first single ‘Valley Boy’ had been played in sets since the shows in February and it’s good to finally have an official title for it. Here’s the video:
From the press release: “Valley Boy,” a Bowie-inflected anthem for which Spencer wrote lyrics after Leonard Cohen died the day before the 2016 election (“The radio’s been playing all your songs, talking about the way you slipped away up the stairs, did you know that it was all gonna go wrong?”). “You’re Dreaming,” also influenced by the election and the spinning shock that followed, is driving, urgent power pop that draws from artists like Tom Petty and what Dan calls one of his “default languages” for writing music. The swirly, synth-heavy crescendo of “Artificial Life” takes on the struggle of artists and at-risk communities (“If the flood should ever come, we’ll be last in the lifeboat”).
So far we don’t have any new tour dates to report. With the exception of the likely leaked October 25th date in Michigan, we have no other solo dates to post. But I’m hoping with the album news out it will mean dates will be released soon!
Wolf Parade have added 2 more shows to their list of upcoming events. The first is at the Ponderosa Festival in Rock Creek, BC and the second is a solitary club show at The Crowfoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI. Here’s hoping that this show is part of a longer list of club shows set to promote LP4!
My apologies for the delay of this post! Moonface announced a few weeks ago that Siinai would be coming over to Canada for a short run of shows. Sadly they can’t enter the US due to visa issues. Here’s the list of upcoming western Canada dates, tickets are on sale now:
Operators heads out this week on their East Coast tour! With sold out shows in Toronto and New York, should be an incredible run of shows.
