Does anyone know if this is all-ages? My 16yo sister might like to go. Nowhere does it say "21+" but since it's at a nightclub, one might think... _________________ hey there, i'm Jay.
...you think it's gone my friend
but it comes back again... |

awesome! | noice. He was at their last show at the Mercury Lounge, remember, when you were doing merch? I was like, "aw shit, Eugene Mirman"
I think it's so cool how much the "alternative" comedy scene and "independent" music scene are meshed, I was going to say "have meshed", but I don't really think that cohesion is actually new... they share a similar space in "fringe" cultures. I mean, I can't think of anybody more punk rock than Lenny Bruce or more psychedelic and unconventional than Andy Kaufman.
My point is, good comedy and good music often come from the same embittered pariah space... and, I don't know why I'm talking. _________________ I'm going to pray for the cold, I'm going to pray not for anything at all

Tam!! You were missed for sure.
The show was sold out and super packed. They played 3 new songs, two which they did on the last tour: agony and the extended white city. They also did 'No Feelin' which they've only done 2 other times live (in Toronto last month and the night before at the CNN.com event). That song is completely amazing!! Hopefully someone got a video of it.
My favorite part of the show was watching people from the back just dancing and freaking out. The crowd was really great.
Eugene mirman made my face hurt. He is so hysterical. I wish more comedians would open for rock shows!
It was great to see Hyden and Kendra and to meet a bunch of other kids who lurk around here. See you guys in a few months!! |
