Sunset Rubdown was just Spencer Krug. Famed for his yodelling Frog Eyes and Wolf Parade singing, Sunset Rubdown was his keyboard and laptop solo project. Released mid-2005, his debut album Snake’s Got A Leg was a mix of intrigue and surprise. The album was like a lo-fi Wolf Parade with little production value.

There was something there though that kept people listening and so Krug never left the project behind. He kept on making his own music but introduced a few new members. Whilst the core of the songs are still written and made by him, the new Sunset album (due in May 2006) is more of a collaborative effort with help from Camilla Wynn Ingr (Pony Up!), Jordan Robson-Cramer (XY Lover) and Mike Doerkson.
